Application of CEAACES evaluation criteria and their impact on the management of the Catholic University of Cuenca

This theme aims to show the impact they have had on the management of the Catholic University of Cuenca, the application
of criteria and indicators as standards of institutional development and development in the daily work of each of the
members of the Catholic Educational community With the categorization presented to the Catholic University of Cuenca
by the Board of Evaluation, Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CEAACES) and in compliance with
corrective actions submitted to it, the University launched a plan institutional strengthening, the same as after applying
respecting all regulations that precede and formats provided by the supervisory bodies, reaches 93% efficient execution,
which allowed to apply a process of assisted self-evaluation by external guidelines can verify progress made over the
past two years, with a view to the successful re-categorization of this prestigious institution. With appropriate control
instruments and after a process of planned and fulfilled at all levels of the University self-evaluation is a gradual transition
from an initial score of 29.11% execution, a possible 51.75% considering the evidence the previous two academic periods
evaluated and improving quality in the presentation of its results.
