Abstract

Laughter as an expression of well-being, joy and emotional discharge, has been considered an alternative and non-invasive therapy within the field of health. The objective of the present study is to determine the benefits of laughter in the field of medicine, its characteristics, laughter therapy as a technique based on laughter and its usefulness in areas such as cardiovascular health, stress and cancer through A brief review of their literature.

Author Biographies

Fanny Cecilia Rodríguez Quezada, Universidad Católica de Cuenca

Licentiate Fanny Rodríguez Quezada completed her third level studies at the Catholic University of Cuenca, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. He holds a Master's Degree in Health Management for Local Development from the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. He is currently working as a teacher at the Catholic University of Cuenca, in the Nursing Career.

Erica Paola Rojas Verdugo, Universidad Católica de Cuenca, extensión Cañar

Erica Paola Rojas Verdugo: obtained her third level degree at the Catholic University of Cuenca, Cañar extension. His fourth level studies were carried out at the Central University of Ecuador where he obtained the title of Master in Health Management. He is currently working as a teacher at the Catholic University of Cuenca, Cañar extension and as Rotating Intern Coordinator.
