Datawarehouse of migration data base

Abstract

The institution under study needs to extract the information from the data stored in a Migration Database, to an Excel file, to know how the migration registered in the year 2017 developed and present a more appropriate decision-making process. In the investigation that is exposed, it is proposed to execute the HEFESTO methodology, in order to obtain the requirements, needs and requests that the competent users made. With the following software: Tableau Tools (allows to present the results), DbSchema (enables manipulation and display of data), Power Designer (creates the cube with its dimensions and facts), and Knime (provides the work with the data mining), the requested information can be shown to managers, through the representation in graphics, with an efficient and understandable illustration. Datawarehouse is a science that by manipulating data, you can extract information from saved data, and makes it easier to make decisions and analyze results. The institution provides due physical, logical, economic resources, availability and time, which were established in the meetings with the interested parties to carry out this work and obtain an effective final product.
