Abstract

Indoor and outdoor lighting systems are constantly adapting to the evolution of technology to achieve more efficient lighting. The aim of this research is to design, build and implement a prototype of an intelligent LED luminaire for indoor spaces that consumes less energy, has high performance, is environmentally friendly and, through the use of wireless communication protocols, connects to the Internet and transmits information on its operation. For this purpose, the proposed model incorporates technologies that allow the control of the intensity of the lighting, as well as its switching on and off. The communication, live control, acquisition and storage of energy consumption values are developed through a communication interface using LoRaWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) protocol. 3D printing is used for the protective structure of the prototype.  Finally, when the model is tested in a specific environment, it is observed that the lamp meets the parameters initially established in terms of its ability to make decisions about the environment in which it is located and to transmit its operating status over the Internet using LoRa technology.
