Digital solutions for educational inclusion for people with visual impairment

This study defines what is considered as visual impairment and what are its types, characteristics, causes and how many people suffer from this worldwide according to the World Health Organization and within Ecuador according to CONADIS gives us a total of 11.47% of the population suffering from this disability, focusing on what are the impacts that people have when they decide to study higher education and how the advancement of technologies can provide assistance through the use of tools for this work focuses within the Catholic University of Cuenca identifying students who have visual cases within the institution and performing data collection methods such as interviews, observation, literature review and documentation, observation, literature review and documentation taking into account previous studies in other countries such as Colombia, Venezuela and how ICTs have led to a development within their university studies and society taking into account the tools and making comparisons to give as a result a recommendation that can serve as support because with the help of new technologies can have greater interaction between students and teachers and thus reinforcing their learning
