But during the inspections carried out, several problems were identified, which led to the generation of a specific study of the pathologies of the bridges located in the urban area of the city. The absence of preventive maintenance of the same was evidenced. It is mainly observed humidity, vegetation, corrosion, carbonation, permanent deflection and lack of elements such as expansion joints and neoprenes. Seven bridges were evaluated, the first being the García Moreno bridge, located in front of the Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital, and the study was completed on the bridges built on Av. 16 de Abril. This analysis contemplates structures with materials such as reinforced concrete, steel, masonry. As typologies, there are various forms, bridges on beams, both in reinforced concrete, and mixed (steel - concrete), bridges in face and post-tensioned. It is concluded that corrective maintenance is necessary as soon as possible and later have a preventive maintenance plan, which guarantees the useful life and adequate structural behavior of these important structures.
2024-04-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Killkana Técnica https://killkana.ucacue.edu.ec/index.php/killkana_tecnico/article/view/1482 Análisis de la Carretera E-35 del Cantón Azogues. 2024-07-03T14:21:22+00:00 Jonnathan Patricio Espinoza Gonzalez jonnathan.espinoza.17@est.ucacue.edu.ec Karen Andrea Suña Anguisaca Karen.suna.78@est.ucacue.edu.ec Diego Andrés López Chabla diego.lopez@est.ucacue.edu.ec Luis Enrique Bernal Rodriguez luis.bernal@est.ucacue.edu.ec
La evaluación del comportamiento de la vía Panamericana Norte en Azogues, Ecuador, mediante el método PCI (Índice de Condición del Pavimento). Through a statistical analysis of data from the 23 Ecuadorian provinces, it explores how the intensive use of fertilizers affects agricultural productivity and the environment. The research reveals that, although chemical fertilizers increase the productivity of key crops such as potatoes and naranjilla, their excessive use causes serious soil and water pollution problems, negatively affecting biodiversity and human health. The theoretical framework reviews previous studies that highlight both the benefits and limitations of using chemical fertilizers. The methodology used includes a linear regression to examine the relationship between the use of fertilizers and agricultural development, controlling variables such as agricultural development, associativity and rurality. The results show a significant negative effect of fertilizer use on agricultural development, suggesting that dependence on these inputs can lead to a "fertilizer trap", where farmers must continue investing in fertilizers to maintain productivity, resulting in a spiral. of debt and poverty. The study concludes that, to ensure long-term agricultural development, it is crucial to adopt more sustainable practices, such as the integration of organic and chemical fertilizers, and improve the training of farmers in the proper management of these inputs. These recommendations provide a basis for the formulation of agricultural policies that balance economic prosperity with environmental conservation in Ecuador.
2024-04-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Killkana Técnica https://killkana.ucacue.edu.ec/index.php/killkana_tecnico/article/view/1532 Public intervention in the provision of drinking water services in the communities of the rural Nankais parish, Nangaritza canton, province of Zamora Chinchipe 2024-07-04T14:42:44+00:00 Claudia Zhingre-Illescas claudia.zhingre@unl.edu.ec Viviana Huachizaca viviana.huachizaca@unl.edu.ec
This research arises in response to the problem of access and quality of drinking water in specific rural communities such as Pachkius, Wankius, Los Diamantes, Los Hachos, San Manuel, San Andrés and Naichap. To this end, public intervention strategies were analyzed in the provision of drinking water services in the communities of the rural Nankias parish, Nangaritza canton, province of Zamora Chinchipe. Through surveys and focus groups, it was found that only 13% of respondents have direct access to a public drinking water distribution network, while 75% of the population receives raw, untreated water. Only 25% have water supply 24 hours a day. These conditions have generated widespread dissatisfaction with the quality of the water provided. In this context, building a drinking water treatment plant emerges as an essential and priority measure to address the crisis.
2024-04-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Killkana Técnica https://killkana.ucacue.edu.ec/index.php/killkana_tecnico/article/view/1533 Effective management of academic networks in research 2024-07-04T15:02:13+00:00 Aura del Cisne Guerrero-Luzuriaga aguerrero@ucacue.edu.ec
The theme of this editorial is oriented towards an analysis of an activity that, as researchers, we must pray for every day, or at least once a week.
