Hacia un modelo interdisciplinario en cirugía maxilofacial: Integración médico-odontológica para una atención integral

Avanzar hacia un modelo interdisciplinario en cirugía maxilofacial implica integrar de manera efectiva la medicina y la odontología como componentes esenciales de la atención integral al paciente. Se destacan los beneficios clínicos, formativos e institucionales de este enfoque, así como las barreras que aún limitan su implementación. Se plantea un llamado a la acción para que las instituciones formadoras y los sistemas de salud adopten políticas y prácticas que favorezcan una atención colaborativa, centrada en el paciente y orientada a la equidad.
